Snow College

So, I finally moved out - about how many years too late? Anyway, I am at Snow College, have a cool room-mate. His name is Martin. Here is a picture of him on his computer.

So I have band, and it's going to take some time to catch up to where I was in High School if I was even anywhere in high school. I'm going through my Essential Elements book - a teaching book - to get the basics down. I have a lot of practicing to do, but I'm ok with that - it feels good practicing - but my brain can only take so much at a time.

I have a public speaking class that will be fun/is really fun. I have a bowling class - a REALLY good class to start off the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays with. I've learned a new way to bowl - you start out on the right side, your right big toe on your right foot touches the right dot. I walk diagonally, and aim for the 2nd arrow from the right. I got 100 doing that. I think the more I do it, the better I'll get, and I think that is supposed to prepare me for curving the ball. My high in bowling right now is 132 - that's out of 3 bowls. I like that we get to score by paper. Don't ask me where I'm getting the drive to type all this - I just feel like doing it - I suppose it's a journal of sorts.

I played basketball yesterday 1 on 1 with a guy named Jason, and it was fun - I totally exhausted myself, but that was good. It was the most excercise and good playing experience I've gotten in a long time. It would have been even better with more people. I signed up for an institute class, but have only gone to 10 minutes of the class so far. I've met a girl who is on the Institute Clubs Presidency or is the president of the Institute Clubs, and she is kind of cute.

I have a courtship and marriage class which I have only gone to once so far, but it was really good - the teacher is awesome!

I made some brownies - and I had the idea to put marshmallows in them, and they turned out really good. So if you ever make chocolate brownies, try putting marshmallows in them if you want.

I have another roomate named Colton. He is into stuff that I've never been into. He's nice. He plays the guitar. He's given me some miracle whip and some parmesan cheese.

I just went to a nice little cafe called the Solid Rock Cafe - they serve warm hot chocolate (which is good) and their cinnamon rolls are good.

Last but not least, on Sunday, me and some people played some games in the lounge and did some improv stuff, which was very fun. It was a great day.

Well, this Travis Cook signing out. Take care. Work hard, Play hard, have fun, and remember who you are.
